Tool and Die Technician

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Assist in maintaining and repairing blanking dies.
Troubleshoot die related issues (production and non-production related).
Assist and/or perform change overs
Participate in continuous improvement projects to increase efficiencies.
Perform preventative maintenances on dies
Supervisory Responsibilities
No supervisory responsibilities.
Education and/or Experience
High School Diploma or GED
3-5 years Tool and Die experience preferred
Working knowledge of machine shop equipment (Lathe, surface grinder, mills, drill press)
Working knowledge of measuring instruments (micrometer, caliper, tape measure; metric and standard).
Hands on experience of sharpening, timing, and adjusting clearances of dies
Working knowledge of operating 40-ton overhead crane
Abilities
Language Skills - Ability to read, speak, write and understand the English Language.
Mathematical Skills Must understand basic math statistics, including the ability to use a calculator and other basic measuring devised such as calipers and micrometers.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
OSHA 30Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
