Job Description:
As an Accounts Payable Specialist at Steel Plate, you will play a crucial role in maintaining financial accuracy and efficiency.
The ideal candidate will have a high level of accuracy and analytical skills, exceptional time management, and the ability to handle a variety of tasks with minimal supervision.
Essential Job Duties:
Handling a substantial volume of payables, thoroughly investigating purchase discrepancies, and ensuring the reconciliation of vendor statements.
Conducting a meticulous reconciliation of inventory payables through a 3-way match within our ERP system.
Engaging in research and analysis to address issues related to short pays, overpayments, or duplicate payments.
Exhibiting professionalism and effective communication in interactions with internal and external colleagues and vendors.
Providing backup support for Accounts Receivable functions as required.
Undertaking additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
Admin Duties:
Schedule incoming deliveries Handle all outgoing administrative shipments Light receptionist duties such as greeting visitors and directing incoming phone calls Skills and Abilities:
Really good at paying attention to details and being accurate.
Manage time well, can handle multiple tasks, and don't need someone watching over constantly.
Comfortable working alone or with a team.
Take charge of tasks and make sure they get done right.
Pick up new things fast, even if they're unfamiliar.
Always up for going the extra mile to get the job done.
Follow through on things, motivated to make a difference.
Good at keeping things organized and communicating well, both talking and writing.
Qualifications:
Associate degree in accounting or 5 years minimum experience in a related field Skilled in basic accounting knowledge, such as invoicing, reconciliations, schedules, etc.
Proficient in Microsoft Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel (preferred) Strong knowledge of Payables in an ERP system Must be comfortable with company location in Pendergrass, GA.
This is not a remote position.
