( hours are flexible) Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:
Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
Assess and propose continuous improvement strategies following a plan, do, check act (PDCA) process.
Perform job duties in compliance with all state and federal regulations and guidelines including OSHA and EPA Complies with all company policies and procedures Perform other duties as necessary Required skills and
Qualifications:
HR Specialist Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or related field preferred 3-5 years of Human Resource, experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred SHRM-CP, SHRM-CPS, or PHR preferred Possess excellent organizational skills and the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality Experience in associate relations required Knowledge of employment laws and regulations is required Experience in New Hire onboarding , orientation, and entry required Recruitment/Talent Management Systems required General knowledge of benefits administration and payroll processing preferred Proficient in written and spoken English required Ability to work in a fast paced, multi-cultural, team oriented environment required Proficient skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required Physical Demands The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; sit; and use hands to handle or feel The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl The employee must occasionally lift and/or move at least 10 pounds Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus The associate must have the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner About Us:
